HUNTS POINT — A serial burglar in The Bronx has been snatching construction equipment from pallet stores since April, police said.

The thief first struck at V and P Used Pallet Inc. at 650 Longfellow Ave. on April 21, where he cut a chain to get inside and steal construction equipment, and he struck again on April 28 around 9:40 p.m. at Pooran Pallet Inc. on 206 Drake St. by slipping inside the front metal gate and driving out with the company's forklift, according to the NYPD.

His next target was Just Wood Pallets at 315 Barretto St., when he slipped through the side of the front gate on May 8 between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and snatched construction equipment, police said.

He came full circle with his latest burglary, breaking into V and P Used Pallet Inc. again around 2 a.m. on May 11, but an employee came in this time as he was trying to steal equipment, and the suspect fled with nothing, according to the NYPD.

Video of the suspect from his burglary at Just Wood Pallets appears to show him stealing a pallet jack with another pallet jack.

Officers described the suspect as a man who stands 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs 220 pounds and was last seen in a dark hooded sweater and dark blue jeans.
