MIDTOWN — Service changes snarled the 2 and 3 trains during the Monday evening commute after a passenger was injured at the Times Square-42nd Street station, the MTA and fire officials said.

Emergency workers were called to the station at 4:28 p.m. for what a fire official told DNAinfo New York looked to be an assault.

The injured person was taken to Bellevue Hospital, the FDNY said.

Northbound 2 and 3 trains trains were bypassing Times Square-42nd Street due to the investigation, the MTA said. Service resumed to the station with residual delays northbound on the 1, 2 and 3 lines around 5:30 p.m.

More information about service changes can be found on the MTA's website.
