HUDSON SQUARE — A monthly series of panel discussions will address issues related to the upcoming presidential election.

The series, being held at The Greene Space on Charlton and Varick streets, will cover such topics as diversity in newsrooms to how the next president will influence the Supreme Court.

The next conversation, "The Color of Campaign Coverage," will focus on how the lack of diversity in newsrooms shapes what information news consumers get about the 2016 presidential candidates.

The conversation, set for May 23 at 7 p.m., will feature Jose Antonio Vargas, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and activist for immigration issues, Kevin Merida, editor-in-chief of ESPN's "The Undefeated" and former managing editor of The Washington Post, Rashad Robinson, executive director of the non-profit civil rights organization Color of Change, and Carol Jenkins, founding president of the Women's Media Center.

It is the fourth installment of 10-part series called "Political Party with Keli Goff." The conversation will be moderated by Goff, who is an author and journalist. There will be different panels every month, leading up to an election night party on Nov. 8.

The full schedule of the series, including information on future panels, is available online. Tickets are $15 and also available online.
