TRIBECA — Get a behind the scenes glimpse into the creative process with a walking tour through dozens of TriBeCa artists' studios this weekend.

The Tribeca Open Artists Studio Tour, known as TOAST, offers a close-up look at art-in-the-making, letting participants meander through studios, chat with artists and potentially buy pieces.

The annual free event, now in its 20th year, celebrates what organizers say is a still-thriving arts scene in TriBeCa, despite many artists having moved out of the increasingly pricey neighborhood.

TriBeCa artists on the tour this year include longtime TriBeCa painter Cheron Tomkins, who has worked and lived in her expansive loft for 25 years.

The self guided tour runs from May 13 to 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. on May 13, and 1 to 6 p.m. May 14 through May 16.

For more information, and to download the tour map, head to TOAST'S website.
