HARLEM — An art exhibit showcasing a local wunderkind will be displayed Saturday at the New Harlem Besame.
Haile King-Rubie, 25, who has unveiled several art exhibits throughout the city and has been commissioned to paint for several local organizations, will celebrate the opening of the show at the the popular restaurant, located on Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. Blvd.
King-Rubie, who has Downs Syndrome, has used art as a way to express himself and raise awareness of his condition and other charitable causes.
The event begins at 3 p.m. on May 14 at New Harlem Besame, 2070 Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. Blvd. with complimentary hors d’oeuvres, drinks and music.
