MEATPACKING DISTRICT — A woman stole a diamond engagement ring from the room of a 43-year-old man in the middle of the night at The Standard Hotel, police said.
Police said the woman stole the ring about 4 a.m. on March 17 from a room at the hotel at 848 Washington St.
The NYPD released surveillance footage showing the woman at the hotel's check-in desk with a man that same day shortly before the incident.
The woman is described as being approximately 120 pounds and 5-foot-2, with black hair.
