INWOOD — A woman was found dead surrounded by beer bottles on the the Harlem River waterfront in Inwood, police said.

The 40-year-old's fully clothed body was found with no signs of trauma near West 202nd Street and the river Saturday, after police received a call at 8:13 a.m., the NYPD said.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police couldn't confirm how long the body had been near the water, but the investigation was ongoing.

The Medical Examiner's office has not yet determined the cause of death, a spokesperson said.

The victim's family was notified on May 12 and made funeral arrangements for Friday, May 20, a source close to the victim confirmed.
