INWOOD — An off-duty police officer was arrested for drunk driving after reportedly striking two pedestrians with his car, the NYPD said.

Jean Verdesoto, 32, was driving on West 206th Street and 10th Avenue when he rolled into a crosswalk at approximately 5 a.m. Sunday and struck two men, reports said.

Both were reportedly taken to the hospital for treatment but suffered no visible injuries.

Verdesoto's breath reeked of alcohol, he slurred his speech, was unsteady of his feet and had bloodshot eyes, according to the criminal complaint. He also refused to take a breath test, police said.

Verdesoto was arraigned Sunday afternoon on DWI charges and released on his own recognizance, the Manhattan District Attorney's office said.

He’s next due back in court on Friday, June 3.

His lawyer did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
