Man Critically Wounded in Shooting Over Drugs, Police Say

By Nicholas Rizzi | May 9, 2016 3:20pm

CLIFTON — A man was wounded Sunday after being shot several times outside of a Clifton gas station, police said.

The 31-year-old man was shot in the chest, thighs, buttocks and groin at about 8:01 p.m. in front of the Conoco gas station at 425 Vanderbilt Ave., near Targee Street, the NYPD said.

The victim was taken to Richmond University Medical Center in critical condition, police said.

No arrests had been made as of Monday but police were looking for a 28-year-old male.

The Conoco gas station is the same place that brothers Terrell Frod, 27, and Justin Ford, 28, were fatally gunned down last year.

Wayne Thomas, 30, an ex-con who was out on parole, was charged for their murder days later. He shot them after the brothers tried to ease tensions over a fight that started at a nearby after-hours club.
