HUDSON SQUARE — A 29-year-old man smashed 18 cars in the garage at Pier 40 using his hands and a brick, police said.

A security guard saw the man while he was making his rounds about 2 a.m. on April 29, according to authorities.

The alleged car smasher also ripped the license plate off of one car and sat in the front seat of another, police said.

The man was arrested but had not been arraigned as of May 6, according to Manhattan Criminal Court and Department of Corrections records.
