Brownsville Job Fair This Month Offers Range of Employment Opportunities

BROWNSVILLE — Job seekers can get connected to potential employers this month with a series of hiring events in Brownsville.

Community development nonprofit Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation is partnering with the city’s Workforce1, elected officials, and local organizations for job fairs at the Brownsville Multi-Service Center.

Open positions include jobs at John F. Kennedy International Airport, where individuals can apply for ramp agent positions, overnight warehouse work, baggage handling, construction and more.

Various employers are also searching for workers to fill food, retail, and security positions, along with administrative, handymen, and porter spots.

BSRC and Workforce1 staff will be on hand during the one-on-one screening events to connect applicants to job-readiness workshops and financial resources,

Participants are asked to bring photo ID, a copy of their Social Security card, three copies of their resume and to dress professionally.

BSRC is hosting four hiring events in May at the Brownsville Multi-Service Center, 444 Thomas S. Boyland St. For more information, call 718-636-6994.
