MANHATTAN — An 80-year-old man died Monday, a day after he was struck by a car while crossing the street near Carnegie Hall, police said.
Richard Headley was crossing West 57th Street at Seventh Avenue on Sunday just before 8 p.m. when an eastbound 2002 Audi A6 hit him, NYPD officials said.
Headley, of the Upper West Side, was pronounced dead Monday at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, police said.
The 23-year-old man behind the wheel of the Audi remained on the scene and wasn't immediately arrested, police said.
