CENTRAL PARK — A father told a California tourist that he could have sex with a young boy for $300 in Central Park on Thursday night, police said.

The 50-year-old tourist was near the Bow Bridge close to West 74th Street about 11:50 p.m. when a man around 35 years-old approached him with a slim boy who looked about 11, the tourist told NYPD officials.

The father offered his son for a sex act in exchange for money, then when the tourist declined, he and the boy left, police said they were told. The out-of-towner said no and then called 911 to report the incident, police said.

Police describe the suspect as a 5-foot-7 man with brown hair and a medium build, approximately 160 pounds. He was last seen in a dark winter coat with a fur hood and dark pants.

The boy was last seen wearing a reddish-orange windbreaker.

There were no immediate arrests and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
