CHELSEA — A pair of men threatened to shoot a front desk worker at the Chelsea Hotel after one of them got into a fight with the employee earlier in the day, police said.

The 52-year-old employee told police he was working at the front desk of the landmark hotel at 222 W. 23rd St., between Seventh and Eighth avenues, around 2 a.m. on April 24 when two men came into the lobby.

“I’m going to shoot you,” one of the men threatened the worker, according to police.

The worker told police he and one of the men had gotten in a fight earlier that day.

Neither of the men showed a gun during the confrontation, police said.

The iconic building is a now hotel in name only, as it stopped accepting guests after a developer purchased it in 2011.

A woman working at the front desk of the hotel on Friday said she was not aware of the incident.
