HELL’S KITCHEN — A high school student was punched in the face and spit on by classmates as she walked home from school, police said.

The 15-year-old student from Food and Finance High School at 525 W. 50th St. was walking home from school around 3:30 p.m. on April 18 when a group of classmates began threatening her, the NYPD said.

As the group approached her near West 50th Street and Ninth Avenue, a female student punched the girl in the face — leaving her with a bloody and swollen lip — while a male student spat at her, police said.

A number of other students continued to “verbally threaten” her after the attack, the NYPD said.

“As this is a non-school related incident, please refer to the NYPD," a spokeswoman for the city's Department of Education wrote in a statement.

Representatives from the high school did not immediately respond to request for comment Thursday.
