WILLIAMSBURG — Two people were hurt when a fire tore through a Brooklyn apartment building Tuesday night, officials said.

The fire broke out on the first floor of 29 Lorimer St., near Lee Avenue, about 8:40 p.m. and climbed through the building, an FDNY spokesman said.

Two people were hurt and brought to a local hospital by private ambulance, the spokesman said. Their condition were unclear.

Firefighters brought the blaze under control by 9:44 p.m., officials said.

Fire marshals will figure out what sparked the flames, officials said.
