FINANCIAL DISTRICT —  A woman had her iPhone stolen by teenagers who tried to distract her by chatting her up on the subway, police said.

The 47-year-old woman said two teenage boys started talking to her when she boarded a 4 train on April 19 at about 1:20 p.m in the Bowling Green station, according to a police report.

As the teens were chatting her up, trying to distract her, a third boy was grabbing her iPhone from her handbag — something the Staten Island woman happened to catch a glimpse of as she saw the teen in a subway window reflection, police said.

She told the teen to give the phone back, but as they exited the train at the Borough Hall stop, one boy fled.

She alerted a police officer on the platform, and he arrested two of the teens, a 16-year-old and a 15-year-old. The officer recovered the woman's iPhone and a knife from one of the boys.

Charges were not immediately available.
