15 Subway Lines Slated for Service Changes This Weekend, MTA Says

MIDTOWN — Fifteen subway lines are scheduled for service disruptions this weekend as the MTA continues its widespread work on stations, rails and signals. Disruptions include no 7 train service between Queens and Manhattan.

3 Train: Until the fall, 3 trains will skip Saratoga and Pennsylvania Avenues both ways. Free shuttle buses will run instead.

From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, 3 trains will be suspended both ways between Crown Heights-Utica Avenue and New Lots Avenue. Shuttle buses will run between the stops all weekend.

4 Train: Until the fall, 4 trains will skip Saratoga and Pennsylvania Avenues both ways. Free shuttle buses will be available.

Until later this spring, uptown 4 trains will skip 103rd Street. For service there, take the uptown 4 or 6 to 125th Street and transfer to a downtown local. For service from 103rd Street, take a downtown 4 or 6 to 86th Street and transfer to an uptown train, or take a Lexington Avenue bus.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, 4s will be suspended both ways between New Lots Avenue/Crown Heights-Utica Avenue and Bowling Green. Take a 2, 3 or free shuttle bus instead. For service between Borough Hall and Franklin Avenue, take the 2 or 3. For service between Franklin Avenue and Crown Heights-Utica Avenue, take the 3. Transfer between 2, 3 and 4 trains at Fulton.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday, from 11:45 p.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, downtown 4 trains will run express from 125th Street to Grand Central.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Bronx-bound 6 trains will skip Astor Place.

5 Train: From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, 5 trains will be suspended. 2s, 4s and free shuttle buses will provide alternate service. Shuttle buses will operate between Eastchester-Dyre Avenue and East 180th Street, stopping at Baychester Avenue, Gun Hill Road, Pelham Parkway and Morris Park.

6 Train: Until later this spring, Bronx-bound 6s will skip 103rd Street. Take it to 96th or 110th instead. For service to 103rd, take an uptown 4 or 6 to 125th Street and transfer to a downtown train or take a bus.

From 3:30 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday, 6 trains will be suspended both ways between Pelham Bay Park and Parkchester. Free shuttle buses will operate between Parkchester and Pelham Bay Park, making stops at Castle Hill Avenue, Zerega Avenue, Westchester Square, Middletown Road and Buhre Avenue. A transfer to free shuttle buses will be available at Parkchester.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday, from 11:45 p.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, Brooklyn-Bridge bound 6 trains will run express from 125th Street to Grand Central. For service to stops in between, take a downtown 4 or 6 to Grand Central and transfer up. For service from these stops, take an uptown 4 or 6 to 125th Street and transfer to a downtown train.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, uptown trains will skip Astor Place. For service there, take the train to Union Square or Bleecker Street, depending on the direction you’re going.

7 Train: From 12:15 a.m. Saturday to 4:30 a.m. Monday, 7s will be suspended in both directions between Hudson Yards and Queensboro Plaza. Use the E, F, N and Q between Manhattan and Queens instead. Transfers between 7 and Ns and Qs can be made at Queensboro Plaza or Times Square. Transfers between 7, Es and Fs can be made at 74th Street-Roosevelt Avenue.

Shuttle buses will run in two segments: Between Hudson Yards and Times Square and between Vernon-Jackson and Queensboro Plaza.

From 3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday, Queensboro Plaza-bound 7s will run express from 74th Street-Broadway to Queensboro Plaza.

A Train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, Brooklyn-bound As will skip 50th Street, 23rd Street and Spring Street.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday, Brooklyn-bound A trains will run on the C line from 125th Street to Columbus Circle.

C Train: From 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Brooklyn-bound C trains will skip 50th Street, 23rd Street and Spring Street.

D Train: From 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday, Brooklyn-bound D trains will run local between 125th Street and Columbus Circle.

E Train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, World Trade Center-bound E trains will skip 23rd Street and Spring Street both ways.

From 12:15 a.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. Sunday and from 12:15 a.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, Manhattan-bound E trains will run express from 71st Avenue to Queens Plaza.

F Train: Until the spring, Coney Island-bound F trains will skip Ditmas Avenue. For service here, take it a stop farther and transfer back to a Jamaica-bound F.

For service from here, take a Queens-bound F to Church Avenue and transfer to a Brooklyn-bound train.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Queens-bound Fs will be rerouted via the M line from 47-50th Street to Roosevelt Avenue.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Coney Island-bound Fs will run express from Smith-9th Streets to Church Avenue.

L Train: Until May, Ls will skip Wilson Avenue both ways. Use Halsey or Bushwick Avenue-Aberdeen instead. Free shuttle buses will run between Wilson and Broadway Junction, stopping at Bushwick-Aberdeen.

N Train: Until next spring, Queens-bound Ns will skip 86th Street, Avenue U, Kings Highway, 20th Avenue, 18th Avenue, New Utrecht Avenue and Fort Hamilton Parkway. The N will stop at Bay Parkway and 8th Avenue.

To get to 86th, Avenue U and Kings Highway, take a Queens-bound N to Bay Parkway and transfer to a Coney Island-bound N.

To get to 20th Avenue, 18th Avenue, New Utrecht Avenue and Fort Hamilton Parkway, take a Queens-bound train to 8th Avenue and transfer back.

For service from these stops, take a Coney Island-bound N to Bay Parkway or Stillwell Avenue and transfer to an Astoria-bound train.

For service to New Utrecht Avenue-62nd Street, take the D to a Queens-bound at 36th Street.

Q Train: From 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Qs will run to Astoria-Ditmars Boulevard.

R Train: From 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, Brooklyn-bound Rs will run express from Forest Hills to Roosevelt Avenue.

S Train: From 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Monday, the 42nd Street shuttle will run overnight.
