BROOKLYN — A man was fatally shot Thursday afternoon in the hallway of a Bedford-Stuyvesant apartment building, police said.
The 45-year-old, whose name wasn't immediately released, was gunned down on the second floor of 940 Gates Ave., near Patchen Avenue, about 3:22 p.m., NYPD officials said.
He was struck by several bullets and pronounced dead at Woodhull Medical Center, police said.
There were no immediate arrests and the motive was unclear, police said.
Investigators are searching for a person of interest who has ties to the same building, an NYPD spokesman said.
