Teens Rob 13-Year-Old Boy of iPhone Inside Uptown Subway Station, NYPD Says

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS — A pair of teens snatched an iPhone from a 13-year-old inside a 1 train station, police said.

The boy was waiting for the train inside the 157th St. station, when the suspects approached him and tried to spark up a conversation, the NYPD said.

The victim tried to ignored the teens, when one them approached the boy and tried to get into his pockets, police said. That’s when the second suspect blocked the victim from the other side and snatched an iPhone out of his back pocket. Both suspects then ran out of the station, police said.

The suspects were described as 16 to 17 years old, with standing approximately 5-foot-6 and the other standing 5-foot-10.
