UPPER EAST SIDE — Police are searching for a pair of young men who they say have committed at least two robberies by knife-point, including the mugging of a 17-year-old boy in Central Park, according to the NYPD.
The 17-year-old boy was walking east from 80th Street and East Drive in the park when a man came up in front of him with a knife at about 11:30 p.m. on April 17 and said, " Give me all you got," authorities said.
Another man then came up from behind and punched him in the back of the head, knocking him to the ground. They then both started punching and kicking the teen, police said.
The man who pulled the knife then demanded the teen's cellphone, police said.
They took off with his Samsung phone and wallet, which had $150 in it, according to police.
The two men, who police believe to be anywhere from 16 to 20 years old, then followed a 73-year-old man to his home near Second Avenue and East 81st Street at 12:30 a.m. and threatened him with a knife, police said.
They took the man's LG Terra flip phone and ran away, according to the NYPD.
Police didn't have information on what kind of knife the suspects used.
One of the men was last seen wearing a long-sleeved black and white shirt with dark blue jeans and sneakers. The second was wearing a white T-shirt with a black hooded sweatshirt, jeans and black shoes, police said.
Anyone with information in regards to these incidents is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
