NEW YORK CITY — Put the books away, and get ready for summer!
The last day of school for New York City's public school students for the 2015-2016 academic year is June 28, according to the Department of Education.
The first day of summer school is set to begin July 7 and runs until August 11 for elementary and middle school students. High school students have their last day of summer school on August 16.
And in case you just can't wait to get back to the classroom, the first day of school for the 2016-2017 academic year kicks off on Sept. 8.
