HAMILTON HEIGHTS — A 19-year-old man was stabbed Tuesday night by a friend he'd gone to visit in Hamilton Heights, police said.
The victim, whose name wasn't released, knocked on the door of his onetime pal's fourth-floor apartment on 519 West 139th St., near Hamilton Place, about 10:15 p.m., an NYPD spokesman said.
The friend opened the door and stabbed the 19-year-old with a folding knife before running away, police said. The blade was recovered at the scene, police said.
The victim's condition wasn't immediately clear.
The suspect hadn't been arrested as of Wednesday morning, police said.
It wasn't immediately clear what sparked the stabbing, but an NYPD spokesman said the suspect and victim were friends.
