MANHATTAN — A woman was knocked unconscious by her husband and critically injured in her Chinatown apartment Tuesday morning, officials said.
The woman, who is in her 60s, was attacked in her first-floor apartment at 18 Monroe St., near Catherine Street, in Knickerbocker Village about 7:45 a.m., according to the FDNY and building security.
She was treated at Lower Manhattan Hospital where she's listed in critical condition, an NYPD spokeswoman said.
Her 70-year-old husband was taken into custody at the scene, the spokeswoman said.
