GREENPOINT — The Pulaski Bridge will close down to all bus, car, foot and bike traffic for five hours early Friday morning to allow for work needed to finish the bike lanes under construction there, according to the City's Department of Transportation.

The shutdown will run from start at 12:01 a.m. Friday morning and last until 5 a.m. All B62 buses, which traverse the span, will be rerouted during that time.

Queens-bound buses will detour from Manhattan Avenue to Greenpoint Avenue and continue over the Greenpoint Avenue Bridge, then onto Review Avenue, Borden Avenue and Jackson Avenue before they resume their normal route.

Brooklyn-bound buses will take Van Dam Street to Greenpoint Avenue and resume the usual route at Manhattan Avenue, the DOT said.

The bike lane, which has met with a number of road blocks which set back its completion, is scheduled to open at the end of April or early May, according to the City's Department of Transportation.
