GREENWICH VILLAGE — The massive Bernie Sanders rally planned for Washington Square Park will feature a free Vampire Weekend concert, as well as appearances by Spike Lee, Rosario Dawson, Tim Robbins and Linda Sarsour.

Doors to the event open at 5 p.m. on April 13, with entrances at the southwest and southeast corners of the park. Admission is first come, first served.

Music by Vampire Weekend will begin at 7 p.m.

While the event is free and open to the public, RSVPs are encouraged by the Sanders campaign and security will be tight. Attendees are advised to leave bags at home and bring only small personal items like cell phones and keys. Sharp objects, chairs and signs or banners on sticks will not get through security.

Washington Square Park will be closed off to the public for the entire day at the request of the Secret Service, according to park administrator Sarah Neilson.
