
MIDTOWN — A broken water main on 58th Street briefly shut down traffic and sparked evacuations between Sixth and Seventh avenues Monday morning, officials said.
The issue started in front of 106 W. 58th St. before 10:30 a.m., and drew representatives from Con Edison, the FDNY and the Office of Emergency Management.
Steam Condition - W 58th/6th Avenue. Evacuations W 58 6th-8th Avenues. Emergency personnel in the area and local street closures.
