MIDTOWN — Commuters will be able to pick up a ShackBurger as they pass through Penn Station next year.
Shake Shack’s 10th Manhattan outpost will open in the station’s underground concourse in 2017, a company spokesman confirmed on Friday.
The burger chain signed a 10-year-lease for a 2,489-square-foot space inside the station, the New York Post first reported.
Though the eatery is known for its burgers, it introduced a ChickenShack sandwich at its three Brooklyn locations last year.
Shake Shack’s eighth and ninth locations are expected to open in Herald Square and the Fulton Center at some point this year, though “not necessarily in that order,” the spokesman added.
He could not provide any details about the exact opening date or specific location of the eatery.
