15 Subway Lines Slated for Service Changes This Weekend, MTA Says

MIDTOWN — Fifteen subway lines are slated for service disruptions this weekend as the MTA continues widespread work on rails, stations and signals.

SKIP TO YOUR TRAIN LINE HERE: 1 Train; 2 Train; 3 Train; 4 Train; 5 Train; 6 Train; A Train; C Train; D Train; E Train; F Train; J Train; M Train; N Train; R Train

1 Train: From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, service will be suspended between 14th Street and South Ferry. Free shuttle buses will operate between Chambers Street and South Ferry. Trains will also run express from 14th Street to Penn Station both ways.

From 5:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Bronx-bound 1s will run express from 215th Street to 242nd Street.

2 Train: From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, trains will run local both ways between Chambers Street and Penn Station.

3 Train: From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, service will be suspended between Utica Avenue and New Lots Avenue. Free shuttle buses will make in-between stops instead.

From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, trains will run local both ways between Chambers Street and Penn Station.

4 Train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Brooklyn-bound 4s will skip 103rd Street and Astor Place.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, service will be suspended between New Lots Avenue/Utica Avenue and Brooklyn Bridge. 2, 3, N, Q and R trains will provide alternate service. Free shuttle buses will run between Utica and New Lots avenues.

Until later this spring, uptown 4s will skip 103rd Street. For service to 103rd, take the 4 or the 6 a stop farther and transfer back. For service from 103rd Street, take a downtown 4 or 6 to 86th Street and transfer back or take an M101, M102 or M103 bus.

5 Train: From 4:30 a.m. Saturday to 6:30 p.m. Sunday, service will be suspended. 2 and 4 trains and free shuttle buses provide alternate service. Shuttle buses will operate between Dyre Avenue and East 180th Street.

From 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday, service will be suspended between East 180th Street and Bowling Green. 2 and 4 trains will provide alternate service.

6 Train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, downtown 6s will skip Astor Place and 103rd Street.

Until later this spring, uptown 6s will continue to skip 103rd Street. For service to 103rd, take the 4 or the 6 a stop farther and transfer back. For service from 103rd Street, take a downtown 4 or 6 to 86th Street and transfer back or take an M101, M102 or M103 bus.

A Train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, As will be rerouted via the F in both directions between West 4th Street and Jay Street-MetroTech.

From 11:45 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Friday to Sunday and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, uptown trains will run express between Columbus Circle and 125th Street.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday, As will run local both ways between West 4th Street and Columbus Circle.

C Train: From 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, trains will be rerouted via the F line in both directions between West 4th Street and Jay Street-MetroTech. Uptown trains will run express from Columbus Circle to 125th Street.

D Train: From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, D service will be suspended between Columbus Circle and Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue. F, N, Q and R trains and shuttle buses will be available instead. Ds will operate between 205th Street and Columbus Circle and run express via the A to and from Chambers Street, the A’s last stop. Free shuttle buses will run between West 4th Street and Grand Street.

E Train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, trains will be rerouted via the F in both directions between Queensbridge and West 4th Street. Free shuttle buses will run between Court Square-23rd Street and Queensbridge.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Sunday and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, Manhattan-bound Es will run express from Forest Hills-71st Avenue to 21st Street-Queensbridge.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Manhattan-bound E trains will skip Briarwood and 75th Avenue.

F Train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Brooklyn-bound Fs will skip Sutphin Boulevard, Briarwood and 75th Avenue.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Coney-Island-bound Fs will run express from Smith-9th Street to Church Avenue.

Until later this spring, Coney Island-bound F trains will skip Ditmas Avenue. For service there, take a Coney Island-bound train to 18th Avenue and transfer back. For service from Ditmas, take a Queens-bound train to Church and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F line.

J Train: From 3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday, Manhattan-bound J trains will run express from Myrtle Avenue to Marcy Avenue.

M Train: From 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday, Manhattan-bound Fs will run express from Myrtle Avenue to Marcy Avenue.

N Train: From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, trains will be rerouted via the D line both ways between Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue and 36th Street. Free shuttle buses and Rs will provide alternate service.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday, Queens-bound Ns will run local from 36th Street to DeKalb Avenue.

Until next spring, Queens-bound Fs will skip 86th Street, Avenue U, Kings Highway, 20th Avenue, 18th Avenue, New Utrecht Avenue and Fort Hamilton Parkway. Trains will stop at Bay Parkway and 8th Avenue.

To get to 86th Street, Avenue U and Kings Highway, take a Queens-bound N to Bay Parkway and transfer to a Coney Island-bound train.

To get to 20th Avenue, 18th Avenue, New Utrecht Avenue and Fort Hamilton Parkway, take a Queens-bound train to 8th Avenue and transfer to a Coney Island-bound train.

From these stops, take a Coney Island-bound N to Bay Parkway or Stillwell Avenue and transfer to a Queens-bound train.

For New Utrecht Avenue-62nd Street, take the D, then transfer to a Queens-bound N at 36th Street.

R Train: From 6:30 a.m. to midnight Saturday and Sunday, Manhattan-bound Rs will run express from 71st Avenue to Queens Plaza.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, 36th Street-bound Rs will stop at 53rd Street and 45th Street.
