BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — A 15-year-old girl was arrested Thursday for stabbing a 13-year-old boy on board a C train in Brooklyn, police said.
The teens were on the Manhattan-bound train approaching Ralph Avenue on Wednesday evening when the victim’s friend called the girl “ugly,” an NYPD spokesman said.
The girl took a knife out of her bag and stabbed the 13-year-old once in the abdomen, according to police. She tried to stab the boy who called her ugly, but he escaped, police said.
The girl was arrested Thursday afternoon at her Brooklyn home after police received a tip, officials said.
The teen, whose name was not released by police, is being charged as a juvenile on charges of assault and criminal possession of a weapon, according to the NYPD.
