TIMES SQUARE — An attacker hurled homophobic slurs at a man after punching him and spitting in his face because he didn’t leave enough room to pass by in a subway entrance, police said.

The 28-year-old victim was standing in the entrance of the subway station at Seventh Avenue and West 42nd Street around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday when another man asked him to move out of the way, the NYPD said.

The victim stepped aside, but the man “became upset” because he felt he hadn’t been given enough space, police said.

The man proceeded to punch the victim and spit in his face, the NYPD said.

After the attack, the man followed the victim out of the train station, calling him a f----t and a c--------r, police said.

Police said they have not made an arrest. The NYPD did not say whether the incident was being investigated as a hate crime.
