BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — A man stole thousands of dollars from a Fulton Street bank on Tuesday, according to police.

The robber, who was wearing a dark-colored hooded coat and is described as in his 50s, walked into the Carver Federal Savings Bank at 1392 Fulton St. just before noon, officials said.

The suspect passed two notes to a teller demanding money and took off with about $9,750, fleeing east on Fulton Street, according to police.

Tuesday afternoon’s heist marks the second Fulton Street bank robbery in a week.

On March 31, a man demanded money from a teller at the Amalgamated Bank just a few blocks away near Bedford Avenue, and took approximately $280, according to police.

It is unclear if the same suspect is wanted for Tuesday’s incident, an NYPD spokeswoman said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
