MIDTOWN — A 51-year-old man was slashed in the back in a Midtown subway station Friday afternoon, according to officials.

The man was in the station at 34th Street and Seventh Avenue when he was attacked at about 3:05 p.m. by a male and female who were possibly panhandling, an NYPD spokeswoman said.

He was taken to Roosevelt Hospital in stable condition, according to the FDNY.

The two suspects were not immediately arrested, police said, and the investigation is ongoing.
