GOWANUS — Three women with experience at well-known watering holes have teamed up to open a neighborhood bar that promises to deliver top-notch cocktails in a relaxed setting.

Dirty Precious opened this week at 317 Third Ave. near First Street.

Co-owner Katipai Richardson-Wilson, a former bartender at Basik and The Breslin, says the bar's name represents the two sides of everyone's personality, as well as the range of drinks at the new establishment.

"You can have a great drink but in a less formal environment," Richardson-Wilson told DNAinfo New York in November. "We're trying to create a local bar where you can get a great cocktail, or a sh-tty beer if you want one."

Customers can throw back a $4 can of Modelo (add a shot of tequila for another $4) or sip on a $9 glass of New Zealand sauvignon blanc that's described on the playfully worded menu as "cat's pee on a gooseberry bush."

Cocktails include the $12 "Bette Davis Eyes," which is made with Pisco, Mandarine Napoleon, lemon and egg white, and a $10 "Unchained Melody" made with bourbon, orange blossom, honey and lemon. There's also an $11 "Cloud Atlas" (described on the menu as "horrible movie, great drink") made with tequila, Sotol, Suze, cucumber, and lime.

The small food menu includes a $10 bowl of meatballs with tomato sauce, a $16 antipasto plate, and a $9 orzo and feta salad, among other snacky dishes.

Richardson-Wilson’s partners in the venture are Shana Sandberg, who’s worked on the design of several restaurants including Jean-Georges at The Mark and Dos Toros, and Amy Cole, who worked on opening restaurants including The John Dory and Narcissa.
