BUSHWICK —  A neighborhood arts organization known for an annual art crawl that draws thousands is hosting a town hall meeting Wednesday night, hoping to reshape its role in the community after a decade of work, according to organizers.

Arts in Bushwick's meeting is designed to get community feedback and discuss the organization's "new mission," according to a post on the group's Facebook page.

"This year marks the 10th anniversary of Arts in Bushwick and we feel it's important to refocus our efforts towards what makes us stronger as a community," organizers wrote.

The art collective had already begun to put some changes in practice, announcing it would push its massive annual event at which the neighborhood's studios open their doors to the public back from June to October, effectively distancing it from other events that take place in June like Bushwick Collective's block party.

"The atmosphere of [Bushwick Open Studios] in 2015 crossed over from festive to chaotic," Nicole Brydson, of Arts in Bushwick, which has run the Open Studios since 2006, had earlier told DNAinfo.

"It would be the only way to get back to AiB's roots and refocus the event on the artists who live and work in the community everyday."

Organizers at Arts in Bushwick declined to comment further before the town hall meeting.

The town hall meeting is on March 30 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Mayday Space, located at 176 St. Nicholas Ave.

Editor’s note: An earlier version incorrectly that the town hall meeting was scheduled for April 7. It was scheduled for March 30.
