JAMAICA — Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a Jamaica home, the NYPD said.

The 48-year-old man was found lying face-up on the basement floor of 147-45 Arlington Terrace, near Sutphin Boulevard, at about 7:20 p.m. on Friday, March 25, according to the NYPD.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, and the medical examiner will determine his cause of death.

An NYPD spokeswoman said she was unaware if the man had any signs of trauma. She also could not say if there appeared to be a forced entry at the home or if any of his possessions were missing.
