Man Shot in Broad Daylight on Bed-Stuy Street Corner, Police Say

BROOKLYN — A young man was chased down a Bedford-Stuyvesant street and shot several times in broad daylight Monday afternoon, police and witnesses said.

The victim, whose name and age were not immediately released, was shot in front of a bodega at the corner of Stuyvesant Avenue and Pulaski Street about 1:17 p.m., an NYPD spokesman said. 

Crime scene investigators had marked the location of several bullet casings along Pulaski Street.

The victim was unconscious when he was taken to Kings County Hospital, an FDNY spokesman said. No information about his condition was immediately available.

An NYPD spokesman didn't immediately have further information about the shooting.
