
MOTT HAVEN — A Bronx shooting from late October has been ruled a homicide, according to the NYPD.
Bruce Purdy, a 30-year-old member of the Crips, was shot once in the back around 9:05 p.m. on Oct. 28 in front of 509 E. 144th St., police said.
EMS workers took Purdy to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition, but he died from his injury on Dec. 13, according to police.
The Medical Examiner ruled that Purdy's death was a homicide on March 18, but there have not been any arrests in the case yet, and the motive for the shooting is unknown, according to the NYPD.
