By Serena Solomon | March 21, 2016 6:04pm

NEW YORK CITY — This summer has many cyclists back on their bikes.

Here are seven accessories that local bike stores say are a must have:

vest

Assos blitzVeder Vest from Bicycles NYC on the Upper East Side
Price: $169

This vest adds a little warmth and wind protection for when you’re riding early in the morning or late in the evening. “It folds up into about the size of a tangerine and you can keep it in your pocket or in your bag,” said Sam Richardson, the store manager at Bicycles NYC. bikebottle

Fabric's Cageless Water Bottle from Tread Bike Shop in Inwood
Price: $15

This water bottle does away with the need for a cage, according to Ray Delgado, the store manager at Tread Bike Shop. Instead, it clicks into two tabs that you fasten to your bike frame. “It’s way lighter than what any $60 cage will be,” he said.

bikelightandhorn

Orp Smart Horn from Fulton Bikes in Bed-Stuy and Clinton Hill
Price: $65

With the Orp Smart Horn you get a rechargeable light and electronic horn in one product. “It is smart because police are cracking down on [cyclists] not having a horn and a light,” said Fulton Bikes salesman Carl Roberts.

bikebag

Roadrunner Burrito Bag from Silk Road Cycles in Greenpoint
Price: $65

“It’s not big, but you can get your cell phone, wallet and camera out of your pockets,” said Ross Condon, a mechanic at Silk Road Cycles, about the Burrito bag. The bag is very much the shape and size of something from Chipotle, and straps onto the handlebars of your bike.

bikelight

Knog Light from Spin City Cycle in Rego Park
Price: One light starts at $45

The Knog Light injects a little fun into safety. “They are very bright for their size and they come in a large assortment of colors and styles,” said Kyshon Byam, a salesman and mechanic from Spin City.

toeclips

Delta Toe Clips from the Bronx River Bicycle Works in Mt. Vernon
Price: $15

This is the one product Edward Mitchell, who has 30 years in the biking business, believes every cyclist should have. These toe clips will improve a rider’s technique and safety by allowing the feet to quickly detach from the pedals. “You’re bound to your bike, but you are not bound to your bike,” said Mitchell, the store owner said.

Topeak Folding Tool Kit from Off the Bridge Cafe and Bike Store on the Lower East Side
Price: $15

A folding tool kit is necessary for every cyclist, according to Qian Who, Off the Bridge’s owner. Most kits, like this one from Topeak, contain a basic screwdriver and Allen wrench so “you can do minor adjustments while you’re on the road,” said Who.
