BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — A passenger taking a livery cab to Brooklyn punched his driver once he reached his destination and then attacked him with a surge protector, police said.

The suspect was picked up at the corner of Nostrand Avenue and Fulton Street around 7 p.m. on March 16, according to police.

After arriving at his destination at Gates and Throop avenues, the passenger got out of the cab and approached the 36-year-old cabbie's driver side door, demanding money, officials said.

He then yanked open the driver side door, pulled the victim out and punched him in the face, police said.

Video shows the assault continuing inside a supermarket at 631 Gates Ave., with the suspect striking the driver several times with a surge protector, according to police.

No property was taken from the driver and the suspect fled southbound on Gates Avenue, officials said.

The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition and no arrests have been made as of Monday morning.

Police said the suspect was last seen wearing a gray sweater, black pants, and black shoes.
