Bronx Man Cuffed for Taking Photos Under Times Square Tourist's Skirt: NYPD

By Maya Rajamani | March 18, 2016 11:47am

TIMES SQUARE — A Bronx resident was arrested after taking photos underneath a tourist’s skirt near the W New York Hotel in Times Square, police said.

Around 8:08 p.m. on March 10, an officer from the Midtown South Precinct noticed Luna Salustio, 35, standing in front of a woman sitting on a staircase at the hotel at 1567 Broadway, according to the Manhattan District Attorney’s office.

Soon after, the officer saw Salustio using a gold Samsung cell phone to take photos up the woman’s skirt, the criminal complaint said.

After the officer cuffed Salustio, the woman — who was visiting from Spain — told the officer she didn’t know Salustio, and hadn’t given him permission to photograph her, police and the DA’s office said.

Salustio was charged with unlawful surveillance and is currently being held at the Manhattan Detention Complex on $1,500 bail, NYC Department of Correction records show.

He was expected to appear in court on Friday, according to the DOC.

An attorney for Salustio did not immediately respond to request for comment on Friday.
