Here's What the Condos Replacing Bowlmor Lanes Will Look Like

GREENWICH VILLAGE — Renderings are out for the 23-story condo building going up where the city's oldest bowling alley stood until a developer demolished the entire block in 2014.

The block has remained empty but for scaffolding since it was pulled down.

But a recently launched teaser website for the development at 21 East 12th St. — dubbed 21E12 — shows renderings of swanky condos designed by "starchitect" Annabelle Selldorf.

The renderings were first reported by Curbed.

Plans for the building, filed with the city in August of last year, showed the 268-foot-tall structure would hold more than 50 condo units and have 13,075 square feet of retail space or a "community facility" for a non-profit on the ground floor.

Amenities listed on the plans include storage, parking for 13 cars and 27 bikes, laundry, a lounge, an outdoor terrace on the second floor.

One-bedrooms in the building will range from approximately $2.35 million to more than $3 million, 2-bedrooms from $3.95 to more than $5 million, 3-bedrooms from $5.45 to more than $8 million and 4-bedrooms from $8.25 to over $9 million, according to the teaser site.

The development will also include townhomes and penthouses ranging from $10.5 to more than $15 million.

Selldorf is also designing 11 Bond St., a luxury retail building that is taking the place of the neighborhood's last remaining women's shelter. The Landmarks Preservation Commission recently approved her design for it, after requesting some changes.
