MIDTOWN — A driver shoved a traffic agent and stuffed a summons into his jacket after getting the ticket for parking at an expired meter, police said.

The traffic agent had just written a summons for a vehicle parked at the corner of West 55th Street and Broadway roughly 3:40 p.m. on March 10, when the owner, Ioannus Kouzios, approached him, police said.

“Did you not see me? I was at the muni meter,” the 34-year-old Queens resident said to the traffic agent.

When the agent responded that he hadn't seen him, Kouzios crumpled the ticket, ripped open the agent’s jacket and shoved the summons inside, according to police and a complaint filed with the Manhattan District Attorney's office.

Kouzios then shoved the agent in the chest with his fist, and said, "Call the police — you’re not going anywhere," while stretching out his arms to block his way, according to authorities.

The driver also slapped the traffic agent’s radio, police said.

Kouzios was arrested at the scene and charged with obstructing governmental administration and harassment, the complaint said.

He was released without bail the next day, pending an April 27 court date, the DA's office said.

An attorney for Kouzios could not immediately be reached for comment on Thursday.
