CLAREMONT — A man groped a 16-year-old girl after following her into the back locker room of a Stop & Shop in the South Bronx, police said.

The attack happened at 961 E. 174th St. on March 7 around 3:55 p.m., when the roughly 35-year-old suspect went into the room with his victim, grabbed her hips, put his hands under her dress and touched her thigh, according to the NYPD.

The victim screamed, and the suspect fled the store, police said.

Officers described the suspect as a man with a lazy black eye and medium complexion who weighs about 160 pounds, stands about 5 feet 5 inches tall and was last seen in a black vest and black jeans.

Stop & Shop declined to comment on the attack.
