13 Subway Lines Set for Service Changes This Weekend

MIDTOWN — Thirteen subway lines are slated for service disruptions this weekend as the MTA continues its widespread work on stations, rails and signals.

Jump to your train here: 2 Train; 3 Train; 4 Train; 5 Train; 7 Train; C Train; E Train; F Train; G Train; J Train; L Train; N Train; R Train

2 Train: From 10:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, 2s will be suspended both ways between Manhattan and Brooklyn. Take the 4, 5, N, Q or R instead. 2s will operate via the 5 line from Eastchester-Dyre Avenue to East 180th Street and run to Chambers Street. They'll be rerouted via the 1 line to/from Rector Street. 5s will run between Flatbush Avenue-Brooklyn College and East 180th Street, then via the 2 line to/from Wakefield-241st Street. For service between Manhattan and Brooklyn, straphangers should take the N, Q or R. Transfer between the 2, 3 and N, Q and R trains at Times Square or between N, Q, Rs, 4s and 5s at Barclays Center.

3 Train: 3s are skipping Sutter Avenue-Rutland Road and Junius Street until further notice. Use free shuttle buses as alternatives.

For service to/from Sutter, free shuttles will run between that stop and Crown Heights-Utica Avenue.

For service to/from Junius, free shuttles will run between Junius and Rockaway Avenue.

3s will also skip Pennsylvania Avenue both ways. Free shuttle buses will provide alternate service between Pennsylvania and Vin Siclen avenues. Free transfers will be available with a MetroCard.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, 3s will be suspended both ways between 14th Street and New Lots Avenue. Take the 4, 5, N, Q or R trains and free shuttle buses instead. 3s will run all weekend between Harlem-148th Street and 14th Street. 4s will run all weekend between 125th Street and Bowling Green. 5s will run to/from Flatbush Avenue-Brooklyn College all weekend. For service between Manhattan and Brooklyn, take the 4, 5, N, Q or R.

4 Train: Until the spring, 4s will skip Sutter Avenue-Rutland Road and Junius Street both ways. Use free shuttle buses instead.

4s will also skip Pennsylvania Avenue both ways. B20 and B83 riders can transfer to/from free shuttle buses at Pennsylvania Avenue. Free transfer is available with a MetroCard.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Crown Heights-bound 4s will run express from Barclays to Franklin Avenue. 5s will run to/from Brooklyn College all weekend.

From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday and from 11:30 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, 4s will be suspended both ways between Crown Heights and New Lots. Free shuttles will run instead and make all regular station stops.

From 3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday, Woodlawn-bound 4s will run express from 149th Street-Grand Concourse to Burnside Avenue.

From 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, 4s will run every 16 minutes between Woodlawn and 125th Street. The last stop for some Woodlawn-bound trains will be 125th Street. To continue your trip, transfer to a Bronx-bound train at 125th Street.

5 Train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, 5 trains will run between Flatbush Avenue-Brooklyn College and East 180th Street and via the 2 to/from Wakefield-241st Street. Transfer between the 2 and 5 at East 180th Street.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Flatbush Avenue-Brooklyn College-bound 5s will run express from Barclays to Franklin Avenue.

7 Train: From 3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday, Flushing-bound 7s will run express from Queensboro Plaza to 74th Street-Broadway.

C Train: From 6:30 a.m. to midnight Saturday and Sunday, Cs will be suspended both ways between West 4th Street and Euclid Avenue. A, E and F trains will provide alternate service. Cs will run between 168th Street and West 4th and via the F line to/from Second Avenue, which will be the last stop.

E Train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Es will be rerouted via the F both ways between 21st Street-Queensbridge and West 4th. Free shuttle buses will run between Court Square and 21st Street-Queensbridge, stopping at Queens Plaza.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday, Es will run local both ways between Roosevelt Avenue and Forest Hills-71st Avenue.

F Train: Until early 2017, Coney Island-bound trains will skip Avenue I, Bay Parkway and Avenues N, P, U and X. To get to these stops, take a Coney Island-bound F to Kings Highway or Neptune Avenue and transfer to a Queens-bound F. From these stops, take a Queens-bound F to Kings Highway or 18th Avenue and transfer to a Coney Island-bound train.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Fs will be suspended both ways between Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue and Jay Street-MetroTech. Gs will provide alternate service via a transfer at Hoyt-Schermerhorn.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday, Gs run to/from Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue, replacing the F in Brooklyn. Transfer between F and Gs at Hoyt-Schermerhorn.

G Train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Gs will replace the F and run to/from Coney Island. Transfer between F and Gs at Hoyt-Schermerhorn.

J Train: From 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Js will be suspended both ways between Broadway Junction and Jamaica Center. Free shuttle buses will run between Broadway Junction and 121st Street and connect with the E at Jamaica-Van Wyck, where service to/from Sutphin Boulevard is available. Transfer between trains and shuttle buses at Broadway Junction.

L Train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Ls will be suspended both ways between 8th Avenue and Union Square. Use the M14 bus instead.

N Train: Until the spring, Queens-bound Ns will skip 86th Street, Avenue U, Kings Highway, 20th Avenue, 18th Avenue, New Utrecht Avenue and Fort Hamilton Parkway. Ns will stop at Bay Parkway and 8th Avenue.

To get to 86th Street, Avenue U and Kings Hwy, take a Queens-bound N to Bay Parkway and transfer to a Coney Island-bound N.

To get to 20th Avenue, 18th Avenue, New Utrecht Avenue and Fort Hamilton Pkwy, take the Astoria-bound N to 8th Avenue and transfer to a Coney Island-bound N.

To get from these stops, take a Coney Island-bound train to Bay Parkway or Stillwell Avenue and transfer to a Queens-bound N.

To get to/from New Utrecht Avenue-62nd Street, take the D and transfer to a Queens-bound N at 36th Street.

R Train: From 6:30 a.m. to midnight Saturday and Sunday, Rs will run to/from the Jamaica-179th Street F stop.
