DONGAN HILLS — A woman was found dead inside her apartment early Thursday morning, police said.
Officers found Alyssa Johnson, 23, unconscious with no apparent trauma inside her North Railroad Avenue apartment building, near Seaview Avenue, at about 2:06 a.m., the NYPD said.
Johnson was taken to Staten Island University Hospital North, where she was pronounced dead, police said.
The city's Medical Examiner will determine the cause of Johnson's, death and police said an investigation is ongoing.
