CHELSEA — A clubgoer had nearly $28,000 charged to her credit cards after having her wallet swiped at the venue, police said.

The 23-year-old victim was with friends at PH-D Rooftop Lounge in the Dream Downtown Hotel at 355 W. 16th St. around 12:01 a.m. on Sunday when she put her purse down next to her, she told police.

Later, she realized someone had stolen her $100 Rag & Bone wallet containing her New York State driver’s license, a $100 Bloomingdale’s gift card, a $250 Rag & Bone gift card, two credit cards, a health insurance card and an unlimited monthly MetroCard, police said.

The victim also discovered charges of $23,000 to her Amex credit card and $4,955 to her Bank of America Visa card, the NYPD said.

Police did not say what was purchased with the cards.

PH-D Rooftop Lounge did not immediately respond to a request for comment Thursday.
