PORT RICHMOND — A man has been arrested in connection to last month's death of a homeless man on a Staten Island street, police said.

On Feb. 17, police found Joshua Morrison, 54, unconscious and bleeding from the mouth on the corner of Harrison and Port Richmond avenues, the NYPD said.

He was taken to Richmond University Medical Center in stable condition but died from his injuries on Feb. 29, police said. On Tuesday, the Medical Examiner ruled Morrison's death a homicide from blunt force trauma to the head.

Adam Reuben, 54, of Port Richmond, was arrested Feb. 23 and charged with assault for the attack on Morrison, police said.

Reuben has been arrested several times before and served time behind bars after he was convicted of rape and sexual abuse of a 16-year-old girl in 1981, according to the Department of Corrections.

He was released from prison in 1999 and is currently on the sex offender registry, records show.
