GOWANUS — A store with a mission to "spread the good word" about drones opened recently on the border of Park Slope and Gowanus.

Brooklyn Drones NYC opened March 5 at 315 Fourth Ave. between Second and Third streets.

Owner Roger Kapsalis told DNAinfo New York in January that he wants to use the store as a way to spread his love of the unmanned aerial devices, which he uses to shoot photos.

In addition to selling drones, the shop will teach customers how to fly them and arrange trips for drone enthusiasts. The store will also host exhibits of photos taken by drones, the first of which is scheduled for June 6.

The drone shop moved into a 1,250 square foot space that was previously split between two businesses: Two Moon Art House & Cafe and Bit o' Sweet candy shop.

Other recent comings and goings on the restaurant and retail scene include the following:

► A 24-hour animal hospital, Veterinary Emergency and Referral Group (VERG) Brooklyn, is moving into the first and second floors of 196 4th Avenue between Degraw and Sackett streets, the commercial broker CPEX announced recently. VERG Brooklyn is expanding and will move out of its current spot at 318 Warren St. The animal hospital provides emergency and critical care for pets.

► A new nightclub called Analog BKNY has moved into 177 Second Ave. near 14th Street, according to the music magazine Resident Advisor. The space was previously the short-lived Sankeys Brooklyn, and before that it was SRB.
