UPPER WEST SIDE — On which coast do your oyster loyalties lie?

Crave Fishbar, the new seafood spot on Amsterdam Avenue, is holding an oyster competition that pits four East Coast oysters against four types from the West Coast.

The "Oyster Madness" competition follows the same structure as March Madness: each customer fills out a bracket at the beginning of the contest with predictions of which oysters will do the best each week and which will ultimately win.

The contest launches on March 14 and customers will have two weeks from that date to fill out their bracket and submit it. After that, sales will determine which oysters move on in the competition.

The restaurant will let customers know how the oysters are doing based on demand at Crave's Upper West Side and Midtown outposts, a restaurant rep said.

The idea is to get people invested and making an effort to influence the contest by buying more of their top oyster picks, the rep added.

At the end of the contest on April 11, Crave Fishbar will announce who filled out a perfect bracket and they'll get a gift certificate, a bottle of rosé and an oyster-shucking kit.
